Tomorrow, the Dutch website 3VOOR12 will publish a major update on the festival. There’re some nice things coming up.
Be sure to check 3VOOR12 tomorrow at noon 🙂 It’ll be worth it.
Copy/paste from Pitchfork:
‘The New York skronk-rap crew Anti-Pop Consortium reunited a couple of years ago, and they’re getting set to drop Fluorescent Black, their long-awaited comeback album and first full-length since 2002’s Arrhythmia. Big Dada will release the album on October 13. The trippy sci-fi album cover is above.’
Here’s the full list of lately confirmed artists:
A performance that explores the borderline between watching and seeing. A choreography without recognizable space patterns.
Concept: Sonja Augart/ Fragmenta
Frau Augart is also the dance programmer at ZXZW, We are eagerly awaiting what cool stuff she will bring Tilburg in September!
The Kraaklink program will take place from 14 September – 20 September every evening from 20:00 at Kunstpodium T.
Meeting contemporary composed music in a place that is nothing like the average high-brow concert hall. That is what Kraaklink is about. Having a beer in a relaxing atmosphere while listening to interesting music made by musicians under 35y whose innovative music is constructed by young composers (below 40 years of age). This makes it one of the most interesting programs of ZXZW, aiming to bring contemporary composed music to those who would want to see it: a relaxed and interested audience.
For coming Festival de Affaire 18 juli 2009 – 24 juli 2009 in Nijmegen they have finished the line-up.
It looks great, so you can expect a ‘de Affaire special’ on our blog coming weeks.
Our recommendations (with help of our new trainee: Peter):
TV Buddhas (ZXZW 2008)
De Anale Fase (ZXZW 2009)
Amenra (ZXZW 2006)
Portugal. The Man
Squares On Both Sides
so there’s a lot to look forward too.
Aluk Todolo will play Sunday 20 September.
Experimental black metal influenced by people such as Hermann Nitsch and Albin Julius (Der Blutharsch). With the goal to create a timeless, organic mix of krautrock’s strangeness and black metal’s coldness, Aluk Todolo conjures rabid obsessive rhythms and abyssal disharmonic guitars. Subliminal spiritualist vibrations and bizarre, magick summonings. Very dark. Very scary. Very nice.
We saw them last weekend at the amazing Worm venue in Rotterdam. We got a lot of blackdronenoise and were very happy they handed out earplugs.
