Special: Cool cover versions: All the things she said (Part 4 of 5)

This week you can wake up to some cover versions to get you kickstarted!

A cover version that creates a lot of heat atm is the All the Things she said – T.a.T.u.  cover by The Berzerker you see above. The Berzerker are an Aussie grindcore/gabbermetal band that are most famous for their incorporation of gabberbeats into their grindcore/death metal. For an example click here.

Special: Cool cover versions: Army of Me (Part 3 of 5)

This week you can wake up to some cover versions to get you kickstarted!

A song that has been covered many times particularly by metal bands is Björk’s Army of Me (maybe that is because of the heavy metal umlaut in her name?).

Helmet has done one (see ‘video’ above), Caliban, which I could not find online has done a nice job, and French Klone has just put their version online here: Arme of me (cover) by Klone

My Bloody Valentine – Only Shallow

The clip above is from their first live show in 16 years, in London.

The reason we post this is because these bloody Valentines are coming to the Effenaar May 25th!

The cover you need to hear is by Nadja (other covers can be found on their MySpace): check it out here.
